Sunday, February 22nd, 2009Today the lovely Simon bit the bullet and went to the kitten adoption centre and brought home Max. He’s only 6 weeks old and is the most adorable little fluffy guy.
He’s certainly not shy – having spend his first day in his his new home exploring the surrounds without being phased by Maisy’s hisses. She’ll get used to him, once the vet smell has worn off.
He’s so tiny! I’m already looking for a delicious recipe, so I can eat him!
Goodbye Sushi & hello Maisy!
Sunday, January 11th, 2009It was a sad day on Thursday when the lovely Simon had to reluctantly euthanise Sushi, his cat of 20 years.
The poor girl was suffering from arthritis, and also had a skin cancer on her nose, which was not very pleasant for her. She will be sadly missed.
Of course, the best way to deal with the loss of a treasured pet is to get a new one. As Simon left the vet’s consulting room without Sushi, he was immediately attracted to a beautiful black kitten which was in the vet’s cage ready for adoption. The vets had called her “Erica” – but Simon had been dreaming about the name “Maisy” – so she instantly became Maisy Erica Zinka Arabella Fifi Leanne Wood.

Thursday, July 31st, 2008Reports in the media today have revealed that a 20kg cat has been found, and is now in residence at the Camden County Animal Shelter in New Jersey.
I kind of wish I could adopt her – she’d make a great bed for Gary & Greg!

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Susan passed away on Thursday 20 March 2008 at around 8:00pm after being hit by a car. I will miss my beautiful little girl!
